Jeremy Tinder
The family behind the family
Jeremy Tinder is a pen name — and it carries a story of its own. The name honors a beloved brother who loved children, loved stories, and had a deep Christian faith that touched everyone who knew him.
Behind the pen name is a father, husband, IT professional, and lifelong student of American history. The characters are inspired by his real family: a wife from the Philippines who crossed an ocean for love and stayed for freedom. An older daughter who loves science with a fierce passion. A younger daughter who befriends everyone she meets and loves food and books in equal measure.
The family is Baptist, conservative, and deeply patriotic — but their patriotism is the honest kind. They love America enough to look at its failures as well as its triumphs, because they believe that loving your country means telling its whole story.
